We are seeking a Systems Engineer to execute systems engineering tasks aimed at sustaining Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) baselines for our cargo loader fleets. You will provide support for field and depot-level technical sustainment activities, proactively addressing issues that impact cost, schedule, or performance. Additionally, you will maintain and improve the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) and Configuration Management Plan (CMP) to ensure the accuracy of configuration definitions for fielded and depot rebuilt assets.

Responsibilities

• Execute systems engineering to sustain OSS&E baselines for cargo loader fleets.

• Support field/depot-level technical sustainment activities.

• Identify, analyze, and resolve field sustainment and depot overhaul line issues impacting cost, schedule, or performance.

• Maintain and improve Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) to govern execution of technical activities.

• Develop and staff Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Contract Change Proposal (CCPs) packages, supporting configuration control board coordination and approvals.

• Maintain/update system-level technical baselines and specifications as requirements evolve.

• Maintain system safety program plans and update safety assessments when changes occur.

• Partner with depot operations to implement continuous improvements that reduce labor hours while protecting performance baselines.

• Participate in System Review Board, technical interchange meetings, and program status reviews, providing clear visuals and technically accurate status communication.

• Participate in Earned Value Management (EVM) program baselining and variance activities.

• Develop/maintain necessary data analysis toolsets for performance assessment and status accounting.

Essential Skills

• Experience with continuous improvement processes.

• Proficiency in configuration management plan execution.

• Ability to develop Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Contract Change Proposal (CCPs) packages.

• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

• Familiarity with Corel MindManager for effective communication and visualization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in developing and maintaining technical baselines and specifications.

• Ability to implement and support configuration control board coordination.

• Strong analytical skills to develop and maintain data analysis toolsets.

• Capability to partner with operations for process and equipment improvements.

Work Environment

This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and offers the option of an in-person or hybrid work schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeton, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $68.00/hr.
