Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring neuro experience and an active NJ or Compact RN license.

Job Details

• PCU unit with a mix of Medical-Surgical (MS) and PCU patients,
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00,
• Patient ratio of 1:4,
• May float to ICU when caring for a downgraded PCU patient,
• Required to float within a group of five hospitals based on staffing needs,
• Epic experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required, with Nursys verification dated within 2 weeks of submission,
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and ASLS preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience within the last 12 months required,
• Neuro experience required,
• BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of the assignment start date,
• Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing,
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit,

Additional Information

• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing, with a maximum of two attempts allowed on a PC (iOS devices not compatible),
• Failure to pass the dysrhythmia exam within the allotted timeframe or attempts will result in contract cancellation,
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted,
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment,
• Block scheduling is not permitted,
• First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred,
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital are subject to a reduced local rate,
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
