Marketing Project Manager

Job Description

The Market Project Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning and executing Marketing projects such as promotions, events, produce launches, packaging and brand/image advertising. This position will provide fresh ideas and develop effective marketing plans to meet defined objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversight of the marketing project process to ensure manageable workflow and schedules
• Manage internal relationships and communication to ensure strategic alignment of business objectives and marketing efforts
• Manage complex marketing projects and promotions, including, but not limited to large projects and campaigns, new concept packaging requests and product launch promotions from initiation to closure
• Collaborate with marketing team to develop marketing plans and campaign tactics
• Communicate project goals and schedules to project stakeholders
• Collaborate with Creative Manager & Advertising Director to develop creative concepts
• Oversight of the full set of projects, evaluating and resolving conflicts and interdependencies between projects
• Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders to communicate work in progress or upcoming projects and to provide an update on existing projects and priorities
• Lead, own and follow project processes as well as making recommendations regarding process improvements
• Lead weekly discussions with marketing management team to determine job-level priority assignments
• Occasional travel may be required
• Performs other duties as requested or required by management

Key Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, with at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience. Previous experience in an advertising agency is a plus.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional, positive, constructive and effective working relationships and/or feedback with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, from senior executive management to administrative staff
• Must be very detailed oriented and have a high focus on quality control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
• Ability to plan and organize multiple projects with shifting priorities and ambiguous direction
• Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve problems and meet business objectives
• Ability to function as a team but able to work with little or no supervision
• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
