We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Picker-Packer to join a warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Sterling, VA
Pay rate: $18.00/Hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00A-5:00P
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, verify, and inspect all incoming shipments; accurately stock materials in designated locations.
- Accurately pick, process, and package outgoing customer orders using warehouse management software.
- Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) and potentially delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all company policies and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory control, maintain accurate records, and support teammates as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook); experience with inventory or warehouse management software is preferred.
- Previous warehouse, forklift, or order picker experience is highly desired.
- Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to customer service.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Must be able to understand and follow all oral and written instructions and safety procedures.
- Basic math skills required.
Physical Requirements
- Must possess the mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting. This role involves walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
- Requires the strength and stamina to perform medium physical work.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 50 pounds (using proper equipment for heavier loads).
