Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Alabama Special Education Teacher Certification required
• Experience teaching or supporting students with diverse needs, including those in self-contained, resource, or inclusion environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Dedication to individualizing instruction and fostering positive learning environments
• Flexibility and adaptability to support varying grade levels and programmatic needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Facilitate small group and one-on-one learning as needed
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related services staff, and administration on student progress and accommodations
• Track and document student performance, growth, and compliance with IEP objectives
• Communicate proactively with families about student development and any support services
• Contribute to a supportive, inclusive school culture focused on student empowerment
