Comprised of 108 licensed beds, with an additional 19-bed ED Observation Unit, HHED treats an average of 108,000 patients annually. The ED works closely with the 7 Medicine inpatient units within Hartford Hospital to promote a collaborative continuum of care for our patients as they transition through their care within the hospital. Our Medicine inpatient units care for a diverse patient population, allowing for RNs to gain a broad range of experience within the nursing field.Job SummaryOur Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient-centered care model in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff.
