Adult Psychiatrist Outpatient Physician - Saint Luke's - Kansas City, MO

Job Summary Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a BC/BE adult psychiatrist to join a well‑established outpatient practice. The physician will conduct evaluations for psychiatric conditions, substance and alcohol use disorders, social concerns, and related medical issues in both tele‑psychiatry and outpatient settings, with a focus on outpatient adult psychiatry care. The hybrid position offers a mix of in‑clinic and remote workdays. Responsibilities Conduct initial and follow‑up mental health evaluations. Manage psychotropic medications and provide individual therapy. Deliver care through a team‑based model with 36 hours of direct patient contact per week. Maintain an active referral base averaging 14 scheduled visits per day. Collaborate with a team of five physicians, support staff, licensed therapists, psychologists, and neuropsychologists. Provide weekend call rotation (1:7) consulting at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. Qualifications Active Missouri and Kansas medical license, or eligibility to obtain both. Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry with completion (or in‑progress) of an accredited psychiatry residency program. Fellowship training or experience in Psychosomatic Medicine or Geriatric Psychiatry desirable. Less than 1 year of experience for new graduates.
