Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Futures Consulting, LLC National Account Manager/Recruiter @ Futures Consulting, LLC | Full Placement Recruitment, Hiring Operations Supervisor - Chicago (Alsip, IL) Evergreen Park / Blue Island area SHIFT: 3rd shift 10:45pm to 7:00am Will oversee Production line operations which are ran by production mechanics that operate the production lines as well as maintain, diagnose and repair machines. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct various safety audits of equipment and procedures along with conducting safety observations. Inspect equipment and products to ensure optimum safety, utilization, and quality. Communicate with all employees concerning safety, staffing needs, scheduling, problem-solving, change actions, overtime, vacations, and training. Review and support the master scheduling process to meet production needs. Plan process activities and follow established priorities regarding procedures, equipment capabilities, process team performance, and staffing levels. Review, analyze, and act to correct non-conformance in safety, policies, and procedures. Conduct required team meetings and safety training. Maintain time and attendance records, as well as production data in electronic systems. Provide leadership for hourly employees and hold them accountable to achieve departmental and company goals. Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and product quality meet specifications. Interface with internal and external vendors to provide parts, support, and training related to production and maintenance. SQF responsibilities as assigned. Works with employees on identifying, discussing solutions, and implementing “fixes” on machinery and equipment problems Performs and facilitates “on-the-job training” and/or coaching of all employees as needed or required Applies knowledge of various processes, production methods, and processes to improve plant production Manages machinery set-up and adjustment, and inspects products to ensure compliance with standards Oversees quality and recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal performance within the equipment limits Complete and/or administer necessary documentation such as production sheets, pallet ticketing, job progressions, disciplinary actions, monthly SAFE cards, time and attendance, accident reports, and process control sheets Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned Job Requirements Preferred Requirements Packaging industry experience Knowledge of Six Sigma, SPC, and Lean Manufacturing Strong problem-solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach Ability to work independently or with a team Must be able to look at new solutions and “think outside the box” Effective leadership skills such as conflict resolution, communication, decision making, etc Demonstrated employee relations skills and the ability to motivate people Excellent time management and project management skills, as well as the ability to multitask Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.) Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Manufacturing Industries Packaging and Containers Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Futures Consulting, LLC by 2x Inferred from the description for this job Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Get notified when a new job is posted.
