Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), ARRT

Must-Have: VIR Certification preferred

Description: Short Description: 5x8 hour days, on call/callback/holiday as needed. Local candidates only. Will consider 6-month contracts. On Call: 5-7 call shifts per 7-week time block (2-4 of these days will be weekend call).

Complete Description: Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and consistently produces radiologic images of diagnostic quality. Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems expediently. Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability when dealing with customers. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity for patients' rights in all interactions. Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists the Radiologist during procedures. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operating all equipment, reporting malfunctions to management. Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and utilizes time between procedures effectively, assisting others or with room turnover. Understands the role in maintaining medication security for authorized personnel only. Demonstrates competency in providing health care services to all age groups. Shows proficiency in interpersonal relationships with all age groups. Demonstrates competency in using Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and PACS. Participates in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted. Ensures confidentiality by using personal passwords and managing patient care modules. Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel while maintaining good phone etiquette.
