Role Description The HVAC Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. This team member will perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, heat pumps, and control systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance tasks, calibrating and testing system performance, and documenting work performed in service reports. The role involves responding to service calls, supporting emergency repair needs, coordinating with dispatch and project managers, and communicating clearly with clients about findings and recommended solutions. The technician will also assist with system startups, retrofits, and building automation integration while following all safety standards and company procedures.\n

• Candidates should possess strong technical skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems, including experience with mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration components.

• Candidates should possess skills in using diagnostic tools, reading schematics, and working with building automation and control systems to optimize equipment performance.

• Candidates should possess skills in safety awareness and compliance, including adherence to OSHA guidelines, proper use of PPE, and safe handling of tools and materials.

• Candidates should possess communication and customer service skills to explain technical issues in clear terms, build client trust, and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.

• Candidates should possess organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate service records, follow work orders, manage time efficiently, and prioritize multiple service calls.

• Relevant qualifications include prior experience as an HVAC Technician in commercial or industrial settings, EPA 608 certification, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Additional beneficial qualifications include formal HVAC training or apprenticeship, familiarity with energy-efficient systems, and willingness to participate in ongoing technical learning and certification.
