A Bartender does not just take orders – they provide suggestions and use selling techniques to increase the order while enhancing the Guest's visit. They will maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area in a fast-paced environment, while providing an extraordinarily memorable Guest experience.Responsibilities:The essential duties and responsibilities of a Bartender include, but are not limited to, the following:Greets Guests with a smile in a timely and professional mannerPossesses full knowledge of bar and menu items and makes recommendationsAccurately records food and beverage orders from Guests in a timely mannerVerifies identification to confirm Guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactionsEnsures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas onlyConsistently uses suggestive selling techniquesCollaborates with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurateDelivers food and beverage orders within established time framesProcesses payment for completed guest ordersMaintains appropriate stock levels for the barAssists the General Manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related suppliesConsistently wipes down and sanitizes Employee and Guest high-contact areasProperly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment while completing position specific tasksAdapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasksMonitors safety and security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and reports issues to managementPerforms other work-related duties as assignedRequirements:Bartenders need to be at least 21 years of ageCompletes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where requiredTeam Members who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training programPrior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferredAvailability to work flexible hours which include evenings, weekends, and holidaysRequires regular and consistent attendanceHas an energetic and friendly attitude during each shiftProvides excellent Guest serviceAccurate cash handling and basic math skillsInterpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities. Must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend EnglishAbility to work in a team environment and independentlyAbility to take and follow directionResponds with a sense of urgencyPhysical and Environmental Requirements:Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the theater.Noise level may be moderate to high at times.Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.Benefits Available:At Cinemark, we believe every team member should feel like a hero.
