Job Summary

Minnesota State College Southeast seeks a Nursing Adjunct Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, web-enhanced and/or online course instruction.
• Conduct classroom research and other assessment/evaluation activities.
• Mentor and advise student

Minimum Qualifications

• Education Requirement Graduate degree with a major in nursing, or Bachelor's degree in nursing and a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education.
• A nursing program director must hold a graduate degree in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty.

Occupational Experience Requirement

• Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.
• As a registered nurse at the professional level, experientially qualified to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach.

Recency Requirement

• One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.
• The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Professional Requirement

• Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current registration in Minnesota.

Other Requirement

• Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments.

Preferred Qualification

• Familiar with Concept-Based Theory in nursing education
• Experience utilizing learning management systems such as D2L
• Previous teaching experience or demonstrated ability to teach in a Community College setting in both in-person and online learning environments
• An understanding and knowledge of classroom, lab, clinical and simulation teaching methods, skills, and issues along with an understanding of an array of academic areas/programs and related issues.
