Job Description

- Utilize knowledge of dental terminology and general dentistry practices.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist with medical documentation and records management.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Provide specialized maintenance care for implant patients, including peri-implant tissue assessment and biofilm removal using implant-safe instrumentation.
- Educate implant patients on proper home care techniques, including water flossing and implant-specific brushing, to maintain long-term implant health.
- Perform in-office teeth whitening treatments and educate patients on at-home whitening options and post-treatment care.
- Recognize and respond to dental emergencies, administer basic life support as needed, and support the clinical team in managing acute patient situations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Guide patients on proper brushing and flossing techniques for optimal at-home care.
- Take and review digital X-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Assess gum health, check for signs of periodontal disease, and provide early intervention when needed.
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed.
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
