RADIOLOGY AND IMAGING SPECIALISTSJOB DESCRIPTION Job Title:MRI Technologist Location:All Locations Division/Dept.:RIS & LRH IMAGING Reports To:Office Supervisor Type of Shift:Full Time **Possible Sign on bonus** JOB SUMMARY The MRI Technologist performs a variety of MRI procedures in an outpatient setting while maintaining a high levelof customer service and quality patient care. The responsibilities of the MRI Technologist include performing routine MRI procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist and demonstrating compassion to ensure overall patient satisfaction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Performs routine MRI procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist. Competently performsprocedures with limited supervision. 2. Properly inputs all required patient information into the system including protocol, patient history, referringproviders, and any additional information to the radiologist regarding the procedure. Able to burn CDs perpatient request. 3. Logs all injections with the amount, date, time, route, and response to injection. Reviews lab results for patientsincluding BUN and creatnine and calculates GFR as needed. Discusses BUN, creatnine, and GFR abnormalities withthe radiologist to determine if contrast is indicated. 4. Properly identifies patients and demonstrates compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality. Assumesresponsibility for patient care, safety, and comfort.Vacancy posted 6 days ago
