Emergency Room Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room environment with approximately 230 patient visits per day.
• Manage a caseload that includes patients of all ages, with a focus on geriatric and adult populations, while also accommodating pediatric patients as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Stroke and STEMI Center.
• Participate in patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions.
• Adhere to emergency care protocols for conditions such as respiratory issues, strokes, abdominal pain, cardiac episodes, and sepsis.
• Float to similar units, including telemetry and ICU, as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in an emergency room setting; 2 years preferred.
• Stroke experience is required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is highly preferred.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and CEN or CPN.
• Limited pediatric experience is acceptable.

Work Schedule

• MUST be available to work weekends; may exceed every other weekend.
• At least 6 weekend shifts are required in a 6-week schedule cycle.
