GMP Cleaning Lead

The hourly pay range for this position is $28.67 per hour. Key Purpose The GMP Lead Cleaning Technician oversees the daily cleaning tasks of the GMP team while performing routine cleaning processes in production. You will solve minor GMP cleaning problems and strictly adhere to GMP regulations, environmental health and safety guidelines, and any other related restrictions that may apply. Under the overall direction of the supervisor/manager, this position shall be responsible for the hands‑on execution of all room cleaning/sanitizations in the production area and surrounding corridors. Success Criteria Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures Perform work assignments in a team with other employees Maintain clean work area Solve minor GMP cleaning issues Lead special GMP cleaning projects Be a resource for new employees on GMP cleaning procedures and compliance Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules Take direction and respond to supervision Communicate with the supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers professionally Fill in during staff shortage Support supervisor/manager in completing punch‑list items Use proper personal protective equipment Present a professional appearance and conduct Understand customer service and satisfaction Understand reporting systems and the environment Instilling trust Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence A solid commitment to the guest experience Always remember safety first Build respectful relationships with all teammates and guests Willingness to take directions from the Cleaning Lead, Supervisor, or Manager Coordinate activities with other internal departments Participate in team meetings Ideal Candidate Experience 2+ years of related GMP manufacturing experience Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures Ability to read, write, speak English, and communicate effectively Should possess basic math skills Understand that safety is a top priority and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills Key Accountabilities Lead special GMP cleaning projects Support and train new GMP Cleaners Perform sanitizations per GMP regulations in production areas (Mop and/or wipe floors, wall ceilings, curtains, etc.) Strictly adhere to Safety and GMP SOPs and perform related documentation clearly and legibly Receive garment and uniform inventory and stock supply rooms in production areas Empty trash containers and maintain an adequate amount of cleaning supplies Supports all local manufacturing operations Supply components, small parts, tubing, etc. Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines Manually clean portable equipment and small parts Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary Train other technicians if applicable Assist supervisor/manager with day‑to‑day operations May perform other duties as assigned Physical Demands & Work Environment Stand: 33% Walk: >66% Sit: Use of hands to finger, handle, rub, grip, and feel Reach above shoulders: Push/pull and grasp with hands and arms 33–50% Climb or balance: Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Perform repetitive tasks Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 2 hours at a time followed by a 15‑minute break) over an entire 8‑ or 12‑hour shift Must be able to climb ladders and stairs while wearing special gowning Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds (with assistance of material handling equipment) Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds Frequently lift 0‑10 pounds Must be able to work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods HSEQ Compliance: All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
