Sewer Full Time Operatives 1307 Davis St - Morristown, TN, Morristown, TN, US 7 days ago Requisition ID: 1399 Job Title: Sewer Location: Morristown, TN Reports To: Supervisor Primary Duties Responsible for cutting fabric and sewing them together to create patterns. Responsible for adjusting the length or size to fabrics. Performing quality control after product is finished. Constructing fabrics specified by customer. Using other tools like scissors or measuring devices. Clean up during shift as needed to be safe at end of shift. Set the highest ethical standards for self and others. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Must have a minimum of 1 year of related experience. Skilled in using various types of sewing machines, and hand sewing tools. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work safely and efficiently. Must wear the required PPE (personal protective equipment). Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must be willing and able to work overtime as required. Preferred Education High School Diploma required. We will consider additional experience in lieu of degree. Essential Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. without assistance. Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to hear sounds and differentiate between them. Ability to visually understand distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and have color vision.
