Director of Principal Gifts

ZRG Aspen Leadership Group is partnering with Pomona College to fill the role of Director of Principal Gifts. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Complex, Legacy, and Principal Gifts and is responsible for strategically growing the principal gift program. Key Responsibilities Secure new principal gifts of $1M+ that align with institutional priorities and campaign initiatives. Manage a portfolio of alumni, families, friends, donors, and prospects to generate interest and secure principal gift commitments. Collaborate with the Campaign Director and Assistant Vice President of Development on blended giving opportunities. Activate and support colleagues in sustaining donor‑centric complex asset fundraising for the college’s top priorities. Provide vision and leadership for a comprehensive complex assets fundraising and principal gift program. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, plus at least seven years of professional work with high net‑worth clients or donors in principal gifts. Management experience preferred. Professional designation such as CFP, CFRE, CPA, or CSPG desirable. Compensation Salary range: $175,000 to $195,000 annually.
