Overview
Registered Nurse, ICU travel assignment in Batavia, New York, starting 08/31/2026 for a duration measured in weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,873 to $1,989 per week, with no guaranteed hours and a 3x12-hour day shift in a hospital setting. The unit floats to med/surg and supports a mixed patient population from young adults to geriatrics, including ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and complex post-op care. EPIC charting is required, and candidates must be located more than 75 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities
- Deliver bedside critical care nursing to adult and geriatric ICU patients across Medical ICU, Neuro ICU, and Surgical ICU settings, with float to med/surg as required.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, hemodynamics, ABGs, and ECGs; promptly recognize and manage dysrhythmias and evolving clinical emergencies.
- Manage ventilators, high-flow oxygen strategies, airway care, suctioning, trach care, and assist with intubations using available equipment (Glidescope).
- Initiate and titrate vasoactive/cardiac drug infusions and IV insulin protocols; administer blood products and support postoperative and multisystem care needs.
- Facilitate invasive procedures and line work including A-lines and central lines; assist with chest tubes and other critical care interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (RT, PT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, a unit secretary) and maintain accurate EPIC documentation to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand to submit
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience; travel experience required; unit generally does not accept first-time travelers
- Education: Registered Nurse degree from an approved program
- Skills: EPIC charting proficiency; ability to float to Med/Surg; comfortable in a high-acuity ICU with complex patient needs
- Additional: Must be located >75 miles from the facility; COVID-19 vaccine not required
