Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Small Engine & Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide range of compact construction equipment. This includes jumping jacks/rammers, pneumatic tools, generators, and small engines from leading brands such as Honda, Briggs & Stratton, Stihl, Wacker Neuson, Wyco, Vanair, Gorilla, Husqvarna, and more. The role requires strong diagnostic skills, hands-on mechanical expertise, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within our service team.

Duties

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on small engines and compact equipment.
• Service and repair two-stroke and four-stroke engines (e.g. Concrete Vibrators, Air compressor, Walk Behind Concrete Saws, jumping jacks, etc.)
• Troubleshoot carburetors, ignition systems, and fuel delivery issues.
• Repair and maintain compaction equipment (e.g. rammers/jumping jacks, plate compactors).
• Inspect and repair pneumatic tools, power cutters, and portable generators.
• Maintain accurate records of service, parts usage, and customer communication.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience in small engine repair.
• Hands-on experience with construction equipment such as (Mikasa-Multiquip, ICS, Minnich, Wyco, Oztech, Vanair, Ingersoll Rand, MECO, Core Cut, Gorilla, MQ Whiteman, Honda, Briggs & Stratton, Wacker Neuson, Husqvarna.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics.Proficiency in carburetor rebuilds, ignition repairs, and general diagnostics.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems a plus.
• Must have own set of tools appropriate for small engine/equipment repair.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
• Performance of general housekeeping and specific sanitation responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned
• Overtime as needed

Hourly Rate: $25.00 – $32.00 (Based on Experience)

Workweek: Monday - Friday

Hours: 4AM – 12:30PM
