Position Information Posting Number: PT473 Job Title: ADJUNCT - ENGLISH POOL Department: English and Philosophy Position Type: Faculty Employment Status: Adjunct Salary: Adjunct Stipend Open Date: 11/12/2025 Close Date: Open Until Filled No Position Summary Information ADJUNCT – ENGLISH: The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes. Minimum Qualifications To instruct English credit courses: Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in English. To instruct English developmental courses: Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, English Education or related area. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met. Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching at the secondary or college level. Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas).
