Job Title: RN – Nurse Educator
Location: Bronx, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $70 - $75/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN – Nurse Educator for an exciting Contract opportunity in Bronx, NY.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs for nursing staff.

• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training for newly hired nurses.

• Provide ongoing education and competency validation for Medical-Surgical and Cardiac Catheterization Lab staff.

• Deliver education on evidence-based nursing practices, cardiac procedures, telemetry monitoring, and post-procedural care.

• Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to improve clinical outcomes.

• Mentor nursing staff and conduct skills assessments.

• Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.

• Maintain accurate documentation of education, training, and competency records within hospital education systems and EMR.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse License required.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

• Minimum 2–3 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) experience required.

• Current BLS Certification required.

• Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures, telemetry, post-procedure patient care, infection control, and patient safety protocols.

• Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and mentoring skills.

• Ability to educate and train nursing staff in a fast-paced hospital environment.

• Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree preferred.

• Prior teaching, precepting, or Nurse Educator experience preferred.

• ACLS Certification preferred or required per facility guidelines.
