Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-acuity unit. The role involves providing specialized care to critically ill patients, including those requiring advanced interventions such as ECMO and post-transplant care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs in a high-acuity ICU environment.
• Administer medications, monitor hemodynamic parameters, and manage ventilated patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech system and communicate updates during bedside shift reports.
• Adhere to infection control, dress code, and unit-specific policies including tattoos and piercing guidelines.
• Float to other ICUs as needed, maintaining flexibility and coverage.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas RN license, active and in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, prior CVICU preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• Meditech experience is highly desirable.
• Able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
