Histology Technician

Position Title: Histology Technician Detroit, MI 48202 Position Type: Contract 13 Weeks Shift: Afternoon Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM Interview Process: 30-Minute MS Teams Interview Responsibilities Prepare, process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens for microscopic examination Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment while following quality control procedures Perform routine and specialized histological techniques with accuracy and efficiency Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and documentation in compliance with laboratory standards Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and infection control guidelines Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support timely and accurate diagnostic testing Maintain detailed laboratory records and uphold patient confidentiality standards Prioritize workload effectively in a fast‑paced laboratory environment while meeting turnaround times Requirements 4—5 years of recent Histology Technician experience required Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Active HT or HTL certification required Current BLS certification required #J-18808-Ljbffr Select Source International
