At BrightStar Care of Santa Barbara County, we are seeking experienced caregivers for a variety of shifts in the Santa Barbara area. Our schedulers work to match your availability with our clients schedules, giving you the flexibility you need to balance your work, hobbies, schooling and family time.

What You’ll Do:

As a valued member of our team, you will provide care and assistance to our clients in their homes and at facilities around Santa Barbara. Your primary tasks, determined by our home care nurse and outlined in your client’s plan of care, may include:

• Cooking and grocery shopping
• Organizing outings and keeping the home tidy
• Providing personal care such as showers, toileting, hygiene, and mobility assistance

Responsibilities:

• Arrive punctually to assigned shifts and respond to communications promptly
• Keep accurate time records via a secure website
• Adhere to clients’ plans of care and BrightStar Care’s standards of conduct
• Document tasks and complete written summaries of clients’ conditions
• Report falls, emergencies, etc., promptly
• Maintain client privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
• Valid Driver’s License and insured, reliable vehicle
• Willingness and ability to register with the Home Care Aide Registry
