Senior UX Researcher Contract? 8 weeks contract, potential to transition to other projects after Ideal Start Date: By end of February Location: Houston, TX (or able to be flexible to travel to Houston for 8-10 days of workshops in March) Project overview: The teams/squads planning wells in Gulf of Mexico (GoM) are experiencing inefficiencies in resourcing and conducting well-planning activities. Reinvent changed the well delivery process from an asset-based team in a traditional organization to rig-line-based squads in an agile organization. The change in our way of working came with new roles and organization structures has led to an inconsistent approach in the way we work and assign resources. The GoM wells team is questioning if the new way of working is an improvement over the old. The team need to understand the as is ways of working, the pain-points it is driving, the user needs and the opportunities for improvement. The role: User interviews to understand pain points, and user behaviors, concept testing, contribute to existing personas, understand use of existing applications Plan and conduct research activities including quantitative and qualitative methodologies including ethnographic and contextual research techniques. Drive insights development by suggesting the best approach and methods to ensure the research will capture the required insights which helps strategizing design principles in the future state. Collaborate with Designers, Product Manager and other key stakeholders in analysis and synthesis to increase consensus and challenge assumptions. Ability to synthesize insights and distil complex information concepts into actionable and implementable recommendations. Communicate research findings to inform design decisions through the best possible means ranging from presentations, workshops, reports or whatever mechanism gets the insights into our decision-making. Experienced in mixed-method user research techniques. Presenting clear findings to stakeholders to demonstrate the impact of the research, so that colleagues can understand and use it appropriately.
