Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit serving a diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care patients
• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery , providing continuous newborn care including eyes, Vitamin K injections (thighs), and newborn assessments until transfer to postpartum — hard stop requirement
• Circulate in the OR — hard stop requirement ; unit includes 4 operating rooms
• Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Utilize EPIC and perform electronic fetal monitoring — both are hard stop requirements
• Float to postpartum and antepartum as needed, including potential float to sister facilities that support Mother/Baby care; staffing follows AWHONN guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk L&D experience required; must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Proficiency with EPIC and electronic fetal monitoring required
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; locals are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Experience supporting patients in substance recovery or community care settings
