About the Role We are seeking a high‑quality Fund Governance Analyst to join our Funds team in the US. The analyst will partner closely with legal, compliance, product and risk stakeholders and support the continued build‑out of our US Funds platform, playing a key part in delivering our growing ’40 Act platform to US retail investors. Job Description The role partners closely with Wellington Management’s ’40 Act stakeholder group—including Sales, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Tax teams—to support the effective implementation of governance standards and regulatory requirements. Specific responsibilities include: Policy and Procedure Maintenance The analyst maintains policies and procedures applicable to the ’40 Act fund platform, coordinating periodic reviews, tracking updates, and working with Legal, Compliance, Risk and Product teams to ensure policies remain current, consistent, and operationally effective. Approval Frameworks and Escalation Discipline The analyst documents and executes clear approval and escalation processes for key fund‑related decisions, defining decision authorities, required approvals, escalation thresholds, and governance forums for fund launches, material changes, exceptions, and risk or compliance issues. Legal, Regulatory and Company Administration Support The analyst supports preparation and coordination of regulatory filings with authorities such as the SEC, maintains accurate corporate and director information, and administers board and shareholder resolutions. Board, Committee and Secretarial Support The analyst assists with meeting planning, agenda preparation, materials distribution, minute‑taking and action tracking for boards and committees, ensuring decisions and approvals are clearly documented and retained. Relationship Building & Competencies Build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders. Communicate effectively and maintain good interpersonal skills. Find solutions to challenges the company faces. Make decisions quickly and effectively using analytical skills and critical thinking. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Coding skills are an asset but not mandatory. Qualifications Strong academic track record and a fast learner. Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. Strategic mindset with the ability to execute from start to finish. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Professional and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow. Experience and Preferred Knowledge Ideally 1–3 years of experience in asset management, with exposure to the US funds industry and experience supporting ’40 Act fund initiatives. Knowledge of capital markets. Strong interest in corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters. The base salary range for this position is USD 80,000 – 150,000 . Base salary is one component of our total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary corporate bonus and/or incentives, if eligible.
