RN – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong perioperative nursing experience and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

• Active Alaska RN License required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS preferred
• CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted

• 3 x 12-Hour Day Shifts
• Shift times may vary:
  • 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required
• Limited call coverage for staff call-offs only

• Perioperative Nursing
• Surgical Circulating
• Patient Assessment and Monitoring
• Sterile Technique and Infection Prevention
• Surgical Safety Protocols
• Trauma and Acute Care Surgical Support
• Epic EMR Documentation

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff
• Maintain a safe and sterile operating room environment
• Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Document patient care accurately within Epic
