Scheinert & Son, Inc. is a fifth-generation, family-owned business with over 118 years of experience providing expert repair, rebuilding, and service for AC/DC electric motors, pumps, fans, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment. Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated Lead Field Service Technician to join our team. This is a key role that gives you significant control over your own schedule. You will primarily handle on-site field service calls while also performing shop work (motor assembly/disassembly) when field work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and rebuild AC/DC motors, pumps , gearboxes and fans both on-site and in the shop
- Perform on-site bearing changes, shaft alignments, and vibration analysis
- Deliver professional customer service and build strong client relationships
- Efficiently manage your own schedule and service calls as a self-motivated “go-getter”
- Assemble and disassemble motors in the shop during downtime between field jobs

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding AC/DC motors, pumps, and fans
- Hands-on experience with on-site bearing replacement, alignments, and vibration analysis
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills
- Timely, reliable, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
