Are you a Quality Engineer with experience in precision machining or metal manufacturing ? Do you enjoy solving complex manufacturing challenges, improving processes, and working directly with engineering and production teams?

We are seeking a Quality Engineer - Precision Machining to support quality initiatives for highly engineered metal components serving the agricultural, industrial, and material handling industries. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has hands-on experience with PPAP, ISO standards, root cause analysis, and precision inspection.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and submit PPAP documentation (Levels 1-5) for new and existing products.
• Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined components.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and inspection reports.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support internal, customer, and third-party quality audits, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Customers, and Suppliers to resolve quality concerns.
• Support new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of Quality Engineering experience within precision machining, CNC machining, or metal manufacturing .
• Strong knowledge of PPAP documentation and submission requirements.
• Experience working with machined metal components.
• Proficiency reading engineering drawings and interpreting GD&T.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Working knowledge of:
  • PFMEA
  • Control Plans
  • SPC
  • Gage R&R
  • CAPA
  • Root Cause Analysis
• Experience using precision inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IATF 16949.
• Supplier Quality experience.
• CMM programming or advanced inspection experience.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• CQE certification.
• ERP and Quality Management System (QMS) experience.
• Experience supporting automotive, agricultural, heavy equipment, or industrial OEM customers.

• Salary: $68,000-$85,000 (flexibility for exceptional candidates)
