Technician

Location 11105 Mockingbird Drive, Omaha, NE, 68137, United States Employee Type: FT Non-Exempt Required Degree: High school The position is responsible for providing quality carpet & upholstery cleaning, hard floors restoration, and water extraction services to commercial clients. Additional accountabilities include ensuring all actions are completed in a safe manner, following instructions on work orders, working as a team, maintaining a consistent flow of communication with the team, driving company vehicles, and taking before and after pictures. This is a night position working from approximately 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Accountabilities and Responsibilities Foster a consistent flow of communication with clients, technicians, and management Ensure all work is completed per work order instructions and complete work orders with proper time and notes captured Ensure all scheduled jobs meet budgeted scheduled hours or better Take proactive and creative approaches to resolving any challenges Accurately perform all cleaning (restorative/maintenance) methods for carpet, furniture, and wall panels, including upholstery, fabric, and leather Accurately perform cleaning (restorative and maintenance) methods for hard surfaces such as ceramic, porcelain, and stone Accurately perform water damage restoration Complete work order paperwork, take before/after pictures after each job, and notify supervisor of any special circumstances Maintain a safe work area using caution signs and barriers Drive company vehicles to and from client locations Care for and keep cleaning equipment and vehicles clean Report to work on time and in proper uniform Pursue IICRC certifications in commercial carpet, upholstery, water restoration, and ceramic tile Follow rules, policies, and regulations as outlined in the company handbook Maintain a consistent state of alertness and safe manner to fulfill essential job functions Handle physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, balancing, and stooping as required by the job Communicate issues, concerns, and questions to supervisor Additional duties may be assigned. Expected Results Effectively accomplish assigned work orders and efficiently coordinate resources Respond timely and effectively to team needs Ensure consistent, accurate communication and alignment of efforts within the team Obtain IICRC Carpet, Upholstery, Water Restoration, and Hard Floors certifications Adhere to all policies and procedures Requirements Educational Requirements High School Diploma or GED required IICRC Certifications desired but not mandatory Experience Requirements 1 year experience and/or training desired but not mandatory Demonstrated ability to work as a team Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new skills Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite desired; photo taking skills a plus Professional personal presentation High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations required Valid driver license required Ability to handle changing priorities and achieve desired objectives required Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the company and clients Ability to maintain poise, tact, and diplomacy required Ability to work nights, weekends, and adjust schedule to meet business needs Summary The position is responsible for providing quality carpet & upholstery cleaning, hard floors restoration, and water extraction services to commercial clients.
