Health Unit Coordinator - Surgery Department

Description

Health Unit Coordinator for the Surgical / Operating Room units at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This is a full-time administrative position that will work 8-hour Day shifts (6:30am - 3pm); no weekends or holidays.

Responsible for procedural scheduling, patient registration and patient flow requirements. Coordinates time, resources, patient, physician, staff, and facility needs. Inputs charges and completes reconciliation of charges in a timely manner. Participates in the daily activities of the department as an active team member.

Required Qualifications:

• On the job training or sufficient experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an administrative/office type role in a hospital
• Computer training, medical terminology.
• Coursework/Training and Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
