JOB SUMMARY

The On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) provides after-hours nursing care, triage, crisis intervention, symptom management, and admissions support for hospice patients. This position works independently while collaborating with the interdisciplinary hospice team to ensure patients receive compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care in their home, assisted living facility, nursing facility, or other place of residence.

The RN serves as the primary clinical resource during assigned on-call hours and responds to patient and family needs, urgent symptom management concerns, and death visits.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Sign On Bonus $20k

Time Type: Full Time, 80 hours per two week pay period, with benefits

Shift Type: Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 8am; Friday - Monday 4:30pm - 8am. 7on/7off.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program- Required

Experience

• Must be 21 years of age
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions- Required
• Hospice, palliative care, home health, emergency department, ICU, or oncology experience- Preferred
• Experience with after-hours triage and symptom management- Preferred

License and Certificates

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license- Required
• Valid driver's license- Required
• Current CPR certification or certification within first 30 days of employment -Required
• CHPN certification- Preferred
