Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan – a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.We're looking for an Accounts Associate to join us at Riggs Washington DC. As Accounts Associate, you'll support the day-to-day finance operations of a property where every detail counts, working closely with our Director of Finance on everything from accounts receivable to journal entries and collections. If you're precise, organised, and ready to bring your hotel accounting experience somewhere truly special, we want to hear from you.What you'll do:Cost accounting & journal entriesPerform general cost accounting duties, maintain Finance reports, and prepare and post journal entries accurately.Accounts receivable & paymentsPost payments and group deposits, manage A/R accounts, and handle credit card chargeback requests within merchant deadlines.Collections & account monitoringMake collection calls on accounts over 30 days, log all results, and flag potential issues at weekly credit meetings with the Finance team.What you'll bring:1–2 years of hotel accounting experienceStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to work confidently under deadline pressureExperience with payroll, invoicing, and collectionsPay Range: $26.00 - $28.00 per hourBenefitsAt Riggs Washington DC we are committed to giving our employees the skills and support required to deliver extraordinary experiences, and most importantly, to grow in their careers.
