This position involves providing independent and complex nursing care within a clinical setting specializing in cardiovascular procedures. The role requires assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Details Position Description: Provides routine and complex nursing care consistent with the scope and standards of practice in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, while managing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments according to protocol, monitors for side-effects, documents care, and educates patients and families. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; BLS certification (AHA); RN License in the state of New Mexico or a compact license. Schedule: Four days per week, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Additional Information: Meet expectations of applicable competencies including leadership and clinical expertise. Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, and administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols.
