Position Overview Obtain the Activities & Wellness Supervisor role at The Inn at Stonecliffe, leading and overseeing recreational and wellness experiences for our guests. The Seasonal‑only position runs from late April through late October. The Inn, built in 1904 on Mackinac Island, Michigan, hosts about a million visitors annually. What’s in it for you? Key Responsibilities Partner with the wellness team to prepare and execute special events, daily and weekly activities, classes, and programs that enhance guests’ experience. Engage guests to anticipate needs and promote additional tailored activities. Maintain cross‑departmental relationships to ensure successful programming, retail, and amenity execution. Help manage and finalize SOPs for existing and new experiences. Coordinate purchases and liaise with departments for organization, storage, or setup on property. Communicate with experience vendors and hosts to ensure smooth daily operations. Assist in training, inspiring, and supervising the wellness experience expert and the wellness & spa concierge. Help execute creative design and touchpoint projects. Coordinate design and printing of collateral as needed. Work with marketing to fact‑check the website for accurate experience listings. Set up and host experiences on property as needed. Gather and analyze feedback for continuous improvement. Communicate with team members about upcoming experiences or events daily. Manage and lead wellness associates. Cultivate an environment of genuine hospitality to surprise and delight guests daily. Enforce safety and operational standards for all wellness areas, equipment, and supplies. Adhere to health and safety guidelines for all wellness programs. Help manage budgets and resources to optimize offerings while controlling costs and exceeding revenue goals. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 1 year in a similar role within luxury resorts, hotels, gyms, or hospitality settings. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Recreation Management, Wellness, or related field preferred. Dynamic leadership, team, and personal management abilities. Approachable guest service and interpersonal skills. Creative, curious mindset with a desire to curate unique experiences. Knowledge of wellness trends, outdoor recreation, cultural immersion, and fitness programming. Proficiency in multitasking within a fast‑paced environment. Fluency in written and verbal English. Comfortable speaking in groups with attentiveness to detail and guest needs. Ability to lead and engage groups of all ages with enthusiasm and professionalism. Basic first aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain. Certified group fitness, yoga, and/or personal trainer (desired). Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Physically able to lift equipment, set up activity spaces, and be active throughout the shift. We invite applicants who may not fit this job description entirely!
