Maintenance Mechanic
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Abbott Park, IL
Pay: $33.75
Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm
What's the Job?
- Maintain plant electrical and mechanical systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and utility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair high-speed filling, packaging, and conveying equipment.
- Assist in installing various components such as seals, bearings, belts, and sprockets.
- Read electrical schematics, wire from diagrams, and use electrical and precision tools to complete work.
What's Needed?
- Technical degree with a minimum of two years of maintenance experience.
- Experience working with robotics in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
- Flexibility to work from 6am to 2:30pm and adapt for potential conversion opportunities.
- Proficiency in repairing gear heads, reducers, pumps, and electrical motors.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and perform welding, fabrication, and electrical repairs.
