Registered Dental Hygienist

Robinwood Dental in Middletown, MD is currently hiring for a Dental Hygienist.

Location – Middletown, MD

Work Schedule:

Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Candidates may choose a four- or five-day workweek.

Salary Range:

$40–$46 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Our dental hygienists are essential clinical partners who provide preventive and periodontal care, educate patients, document findings, and collaborate with dentists to support excellent treatment outcomes.

• Review and update patient medical and dental histories, including relevant medications and health conditions.

• Perform preliminary oral examinations, including assessment of teeth and soft tissues, and identify findings requiring dentist evaluation.

• Obtain diagnostic dental radiographs as indicated.

• Perform preventive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing (SRP), as indicated.

• Perform periodontal assessments and document clinical findings in patient records.

• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, periodontal health, disease prevention, and recommended home-care practices.

• Perform intraoral scans using the iTero scanner as part of patient assessment and treatment planning.

• Recognize and communicate oral health concerns and changes in patient conditions to the dentist.

• Collaborate with dentists and other team members to coordinate patient care and support continuity of treatment.

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with infection control, sterilization, and applicable clinical regulations.

• Establish rapport with patients, address questions and concerns, and promote a comfortable, positive patient experience.

• Manage scheduled appointments efficiently while maintaining high standards of clinical care and patient safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Maryland Dental Hygiene License

• Licensed to administer local anesthesia

• Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
