Telemetry Registered Nurse

Position available for a Telemetry Registered Nurse. The shift is during nights (1900-0730). There is a weekend requirement of every other weekend. The clinician will float as needed to other departments. Departments may include Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, Medical/Surgical, cardiac, stroke, and Heart Failure, and ER boarding. Candidates with two years of experience are preferred but first-timers are accepted. Certifications required include ACLS and BLS. All travelers must live at least 50 miles away from the facility. Pending licenses are accepted, but the license must be active by the start date. Guaranteed hours are 36 hours per week. Special requirements include telemetry and Cerner experience. The patient ratio is 1:4 during the night shift. The unit specializes in caring for adults and geriatrics. Patients may present with respiratory issues, trauma, and other complex diagnoses. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support services such as Physical Therapy and Pharmacy. Bedside procedures and conscious sedation may be performed in this unit. This position requires strong skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Travelers must complete up to 8 hours of modules within one week of signing. All required certifications must be obtained prior to the start of the assignment. Travelers should understand that conduct issues may result in immediate contract termination.
