AI/ML Engineer (Knoxville)

Location-Birmingham, AL, Knoxville, TN, Columbia, SC or Lafayette, LA.

A hybrid working model is acceptable.

• Required Qualifications to be Successful in this Role: 8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years developing AI/ML solutions
• Strong hands-on experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), including document classification and information extraction
• Experience applying OCR, NLP, Computer Vision, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to document processing and understanding
• Strong development skills in Python and Java
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience, particularly with services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Textract, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, and RDS
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit learn, Hugging Face, and LangChain
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, FastAPI, or comparable frameworks
• Hands on knowledge of MLOps, including model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of scalable software development practices, design patterns, and Agile delivery
• Ability to lead technical discussions and provide technical direction while remaining hands on with development
• Experience mentoring developers and collaborating with business, engineering, and technology stakeholders
• Financial services domain experience preferred, particularly in mortgage, multifamily lending, or commercial real estate (CRE)
• AWS AI/ML or AWS Cloud certification preferred
