Supervisor, Ride Operations

Job Overview Lead and inspire a team of ambassadors in delivering exemplary guest service, modelling a positive attitude, high energy and commitment to quality. Responsibilities Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals. Develop Assistant Supervisors and ambassadors by providing training, feedback, and coaching. Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures. Ensure ambassadors receive break and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable law. Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve. Maintain inventory and stock/replace supplies and equipment as needed. Conduct equipment and safety checks in compliance with department and company standards. Attend to ambassadors and follow park protocol in emergency situations. Respond to ambassador and guest needs. Communicate effectively with other areas within the department and other departments in the park. Track information to complete daily and weekly reports. Report to leadership regarding the status of projects and completed assignments. Qualifications At least 17 years of age. At least 4 days of unrestricted availability during peak season, including weekends and holidays. At least 3 days of unrestricted availability during the off season, including weekends and holidays. Completion of CPR/AED training/certification. Trainable and certification at all assigned areas and job functions. Ability to climb stairs/ladders. Ability to operate and maneuver in/around tight spaces. Ability to use heavy equipment for cleaning. Comfortable with exposure to noise, vibrations, fumes, dust, odor and all weather conditions and temperature extremes. Comfortable working around harmful substances. Physical ability to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands above shoulder level. Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for prolonged periods. Positive interaction with guests, co-workers, vendors of all ages, ethnic/cultural backgrounds and individuals with special needs. Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members. Remain calm and professional during challenging situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Organizational and planning skills. Ability to lift or move 75 lbs. Valid state driver’s license preferred. 1 year in theme park ride operation preferred. Additional Skills Troubleshooting – determining causes of operating errors and deciding on corrective actions. Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions. Equipment Selection – determining the appropriate tools and equipment. Time Management – managing one’s own time and that of others. Speaking – conveying information effectively. Writing – communicating effectively in writing. Compensation Hourly rate: $15.50 USD.
