ASCP Medical Technologist - Generalist
MLR Healthcare is looking for a qualified Medical Technologist, ASCP certified, to join a vibrant team at a leading hospital South of Austin. In this role, you will prepare routine gross tissue specimens for microscopic examination by pathologists, handling cases from surgical procedures, autopsies, research studies, and external sources. If you're ready to contribute to a collaborative environment and play a key role in diagnostic excellence, we encourage you to apply.
Schedule: Week Nights 4(10)s M-Th Weekend Nights 3(12)s Fr-Sat
Pay: $65,364 - $88,322
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate instrumentation for tissue dehydration, clearing, paraffin impregnation, section cutting, and slide staining.
- Prepare solutions, stains, and reagents following established standard procedures.
- Ensure all histology lab equipment is maintained in optimal condition, including cleanliness and the sharpening and honing of microtome knives.
Requirements:
- National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)
- Bachelors or Associate Degree
- ASCP or AMT
- BLS
