Float Pool LPN: Multi-Unit Care, Growth & Impact

LifeBridge Health is a regional healthcare organization in Maryland providing a comprehensive continuum of care, including hospitals, specialty centers, and community health-related operations. We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Float Pool within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across a variety of inpatient units and clinical settings, supporting teams wherever needs are greatest. As a Float Pool LPN, you will deliver bedside nursing care to diverse adult and geriatric patient populations, and potentially pediatric patients depending on assignment. You will work collaboratively with RNs, physicians, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to implement patient care plans, monitor patient status, and respond promptly to changes in condition. Responsibilities include performing focused assessments within the LPN scope of practice, obtaining and documenting vital signs, assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges, and maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record. You will administer medications safely and accurately, provide prescribed treatments and wound care, assist with activities of daily living, and support patient mobility, safety, and comfort. You will follow infection prevention protocols, perform point-of-care testing as appropriate, and elevate clinical concerns to the RN or provider as needed. In the float pool, you will adapt quickly to different unit workflows, policies, and patient acuity levels, demonstrating flexibility, strong communication skills, and teamwork across medical-surgical, telemetry, step-down, and specialty units based on competency and organizational needs.
