Software Development Engineer

Overview

We’re looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to help design and build cloud-native compliance solutions. In this role, you’ll work with modern AWS technologies to develop secure, scalable tools that support critical compliance and data governance initiatives.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building end-to-end features, working with cloud services, and solving complex security and compliance challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain compliance tools using AWS services
• Build and integrate solutions across AWS platforms, including services such as S3, DynamoDB, IAM, KMS, and others
• Implement secure data handling and encryption practices using AWS security frameworks
• Develop and enhance natural language processing workflows using services like AWS Translate and Comprehend
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with AWS services, including:
  • Amazon S3
  • Amazon DynamoDB
  • AWS KMS
  • AWS IAM
  • Amazon Q Business (or similar tools)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript preferred)
• Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated experience delivering features with measurable impact

Nice to Have

• Experience with additional AWS services such as Amazon Connect
• Familiarity with AWS Translate and AWS Comprehend
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and production systems
• Background in serverless architecture
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
