Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Supervises and coordinates nursing activities within the Operating Room to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and obtain pertinent clinical data prior to surgery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for surgical patients.
• Prepare the operating room and assist surgical team with sterile techniques and equipment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Document all patient interventions and surgical details accurately in compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Have acute care or perioperative nursing experience highly preferred.
• Maintain current BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
