Employment Litigation Associate - Judicial Clerks - SF, SV, and SAC offices only

Responsibilities We are actively recruiting judicial law clerks for an associate position with our dynamic Employment Litigation Group in any of its Northern California offices (San Francisco, Sacramento and Silicon Valley). Responsibilities include: Working on pre‑litigation matters, high‑profile single‑plaintiff employment cases, systemic discrimination and wage and hour class actions, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions. Responding to administrative charges. Counselling clients on a wide variety of employment issues. Taking an active role in handling cutting‑edge legal matters. Assuming significant responsibility, working directly with corporate clients, managing complex cases, taking and defending depositions, making court appearances at important hearings, arguing motions, and handling mediations, work typically handled by mid‑level associates. Judicial clerks joining Orrick directly from a clerkship on a federal court or the highest court in any state or the District of Columbia receive a significant bonus. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, creative, practical, and possess outstanding interpersonal skills, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Qualifications Must possess excellent academic credentials, and strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Experience as a judicial clerk for a minimum of one year. At least 2 years of additional litigation experience. Completed JD from an accredited law school required. Must be a member of the California State Bar. Compensation and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 and $310,000.
