Title: Software Engineer AI / Agentic AI Engineer

Location: Tampa, FL / Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite per Week; Local Candidates Only

Duration:12 months contract on w2

Job Description
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers / AI & Agentic AI Engineers to design and develop scalable, production-grade applications and next-generation Generative AI solutions in an enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering expertise combined with hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications, RAG solutions, AI agents, and agentic workflows . Candidates should be comfortable working with Python and/or Java, cloud-native technologies, APIs, microservices, and modern AI platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, production-grade enterprise applications .

Build and integrate Generative AI and LLM-powered applications .

Develop RAG solutions using embeddings, vector databases, enterprise data, and LLM APIs.

Design and implement AI agents and agentic workflows , including orchestration, tool/function calling, memory management, and enterprise integrations.

Develop scalable backend services using Python and/or Java .

Work with advanced SQL and large-scale data processing technologies.

Build and integrate REST APIs and microservices .

Deploy and manage cloud-native applications using Kubernetes/OpenShift .

Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.

Collaborate with data scientists, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions.

Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, reliability, and performance.

Participate in AI governance, observability, responsible AI, and vulnerability remediation initiatives.

Mentor engineers and contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and technical design discussions.

Required Qualifications / Must Haves

5 8+ years of Software Engineering experience developing scalable, production-grade applications in enterprise environments.

Strong Python and/or Java development skills with advanced SQL and large-scale data processing experience.

Hands-on Generative AI/LLM development experience, including RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and LLM API integrations.

Experience designing and building AI agents / Agentic AI workflows , including orchestration, tool/function calling, memory management, and enterprise integrations.

Strong cloud-native engineering experience with REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD, automated testing, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS Bedrock, Snowflake Cortex , or other cloud AI platforms.

Experience developing with MCP (Model Context Protocol) .

Experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing.

Knowledge of DevSecOps, vulnerability remediation, and Veracode .

Financial services industry experience.

Experience with AI governance, observability, and responsible AI practices.
