Phlebotomist- Float

Job Summary Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Edgewater, NJ. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:00am-7:00pm and rotating Saturdays 8:00am-2:00pm and an occasional Sunday 8:00am-12:00pm. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Be at least 21 years old. Pay Range $17.75 - $25.00 per hour. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement and employee stock purchase plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
