Base pay range $38.00/hr - $50.00/hr Senior Recruitment Consultant at Intelletec Energy | Hiring Renewable Energy Executives As a Field Transformer Testing Technician, you will be responsible for performing on-site transformer inspections, diagnostics, and testing to ensure the highest quality standards for our clients’ electrical equipment. Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliable operation of critical power systems and reinforce our reputation for delivering fast, effective solutions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct field testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of electrical transformers and other high-voltage equipment at customer sites. Perform routine and emergency maintenance and diagnostics to ensure transformers meet operational standards and specifications. Verify transformer performance and safety through tests such as voltage, current, and load testing. Collaborate with clients to identify potential issues, provide troubleshooting guidance, and recommend optimal solutions. Document and report testing results, including analysis, recommendations, and any corrective actions required. Maintain an organized inventory of equipment and tools to ensure readiness for service calls. Work closely with the sales and service teams to communicate findings and offer additional support or product solutions. Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with industry regulations while working at customer facilities. Assist with transformer installation, servicing, and repairs as needed, providing technical support during the entire process. Provide customer training on transformer maintenance and testing procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred. Proven experience in electrical testing and diagnostics, specifically with transformers and high-voltage equipment. Knowledge of transformer design, operation, and testing procedures. Hands-on experience with test equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, power analyzers, and other electrical test equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools as required. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in various environmental conditions. Preferred Skills: Experience with high-voltage systems and equipment in industrial or commercial settings. Certifications related to electrical systems or transformers (e.g., NETA, NCS, or other relevant electrical qualifications). Experience with power generation or distribution systems in industries like oil and gas, renewable energy, or utilities.
